I’ve been away from blogging for so long, I’m worried I’ll be forgotten
I’ve had so much on that I’ve had no time to paint (or finish things I’ve started) or sketch/draw…
October will see things calming down so I will be back properly. Until then, here’s something I did for my aunts birthday in August. Can’t wait to catch up with all your blogs x
Someone at work asked if I would draw their son a turtle (the little boy asked his dad to ask me). So here is the little turtle.
I’m unsure how to sketch water so I’m not sure if it has come out clearly that he’s swimming… it’s something I need to practise
I took this on Holiday in Italy along the coast. I have read up on lost lands and submerged forests and I find the whole thing fascinating (and magical). I’ve looked up pictures taken in places like Ynyslas and Borth in Wales but had never noticed anything myself when I had been near the coast (maybe because I mainly go to pebble beaches, would you find them there(?))… I was quite excited when I saw this… It’s the simple things in life
The whole area is breath taking… this is just a piece of what the Blue Lagoon in Malta has to offer
I drew this after I spent the day looking up mythical creatures.
Mythology, folklore and legends are things that I have always been interested in and find that they have an influence in most of the drawings I do.
I painted this on canvas around the time I ‘decided’ I had an idea for a story… rather then pick up a pen, I went for a paint brush
