Submerged Forest…

Published August 25, 2011 by Littleskew

I took this on Holiday in Italy along the coast.  I have read up on lost lands and submerged forests and I find the whole thing fascinating (and magical). I’ve looked up pictures taken in places like Ynyslas and Borth in Wales but had never noticed anything myself when I had been near the coast (maybe because I mainly go to pebble beaches, would you find them there(?))… I was quite excited when I saw this… It’s the simple things in life

I love the coast and often look up images of the British coastline.

On trips to Ireland I used to wander the tops of the cliffs near my grandparents house in Mayo and wander the Quay in Kilmore in Wexford.  Both places are so peaceful and sometimes quite haunting.

I was thinking about taking a trip to Cornwall when I started doodling… this is what I ended up with.  I was also listening to Roaming by Ruth Notman quite a lot around this time.

I never did go to Cornwall…
